I joined the staff Towne Meadows when we opened the school back in 1994 and I am in my 23rd year of teaching 5th grade students. I love this age because they are becoming very independent, they have wonderful senses of humor, and they still like school. I believe in keeping the students engaged in fun, meaningful activities to make learning interesting and fun. I love Science, so I try to incorporate as many hands on science projects as possible. We even have a Science Fair in November. One of the best things we do this year is learn about economics through the Junior Achievement Biz Town Program. Students then use this knowledge to spend a day running a town of their own. They even elect their very own mayor. It is an amazing program that the students enjoy and have a once in a lifetime experience.
